My girls mimic just about everything that I do, from gestures to hobbies, music choices and just about everything in between – including yoga! I have accumulated quite the collection of fitness wear as I work out just about everyday. They’ve been bugging my constantly for their own yoga shorts and tanks, but when it comes to fitness clothes for kids, ivivva isn’t the cheapest and they were the only good brand I was aware of, until Watson’s contacted me.
Watson’s has a solid reputation here in Canada, for their performance winter wear. It’s high quality, wicks away sweat and keeps you warm while skiing, snowboarding or shoveling snow (cough, cough). The brand recently introduced a new line of sportswear for girls that we’ve put to the test for the past couple of weeks.
All of the pieces are very, very lightweight and still look like new after wearing them over and over again. Keep in mind, I did hang them to dry and although you can put them in the dryer, I never did.
The racerback tanks come in three colors, blue, purple and pink and offer a 4-way stretch. They also wick away moisture. My girls don’t sweat a whole lot, but my eldest spilled a bottle of water on herself and the top dried very quickly.
Watsons Boy Short
Boyshorts are all the rage in our house for yoga practice! Both pieces that we tried out held up beautifully and my girls found them very comfortable. My favorite perk? The price! These are incredibly affordable and range in price from $11-$17.
My only complaint? I wish they had a boy’s line!
You can find a list of Watson’s retailers as well as their entire collection (also available for purchase) online.
Disclosure: Watson’s sent us samples for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own as always.
